This was a fun project, just a short 4 day contact at the awesome agency Poke in East London.
It started with 2 days of mocking up various options for the new Orange Rockcorps email templates, the ones that are sent out when someone signs up to the program, and then a selection of headers for the different emails that are sent out throughout the campaign.
At first I thought it would be a very strict project to work on, but even with Oranges branding, I was given a lot of freedom to try stuff out, coming up with a wide selection of designs for them to choose from.
Sadly the campaign was already in full swing this year, so many of the cool elements I put into the designs had to come out, as there weren’t enough dates left to advertise :( But I’m still pretty happy with the result…

As soon as we had the go ahead from Orange the email was put together in HTML4.
Once complete, I then built and tested the template in Litmus for them, for as many browsers as possible, as well as iPhone, Symbian, Android and Blackberry. It turns out a lot of teenagers have Blackberries, as they are available for free, so this was an important one – also because Blackberry were one of the main sponsors of Rockcorps this year!
There are 2 emails in the end, the Rockcorps Collective and the not so different Rockcorps Gigs emails.
It was a great agency to work for, I hope to be back there in the future doing more for them.
